25 April 2011

Hey there,

Yesterday at church I ran into 2 guys who somehow know Steven, so they took a picture with me and they said they would send it to him. Small world!

Mt. St. Helens was a lot of fun, I'm happy for all of you. Maybe this time you will get to be with the group that makes it to the top. Rafting on the John Day could be a spiritual experience for the youth of the stake, but there may be better things than that that you could come up with. Coos Bay was great and so was going out to Brother Bever's ranch.

So yesterday we presented a quit smoking program to a couple who are investigating the church and trying to quit smoking. The program involves 15 steps that you must follow with exactness over the course of 7 days. If they can do that, they will be non-smokers in no time.

One of our investigators, David Bonbrake, was interviewed for baptism on saturday and he is all set to be baptized on this coming saturday. He has been investigating on and off for about a year now and he is finally taking the leap. He is 69 years old and is missing a lot of his teeth like a lot of the people around here because they have smoked for years and have not taken care of their teeth.

I had a pretty great Easter. I got to have dinner with the mexican family that we live with(we live in the garage with a kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom and we get to use their washer and dryer) and we had some delicious South American food. Now I'm not sure if that food did something to me or not, but I woke up at about 5 this morning and I had the worst tummy ache and I felt like I was gonna throw up. But the food was good though, so it was worth it. Funny story, I dished myself up the first time, and when I went back for seconds they piled more food on than I had the first time! It was pretty cool.

Love,
Elder Robertson
